Paper Machine Pinch Point Injury Accident

While operating a paper machine, a plant employee's arm was injured when it was caught by an in-running pinch point between two large, counter-rotating drums. APTECH was called in by the workers' compensation insurance company to find the root cause of the accident. The investigation focused on the procedures followed by the injured party, and recommendations were made to the plant to modify the procedure or install guarding devices.
