Ammonia Tanker Truck Explosion

A transportable ammonia road tanker came uncoupled from its tractor, crashed onto a lower level freeway, and exploded. It caused significant personal injury and local damage. APTECH performed metallurgical and fracture analyses to establish the root cause of the tank car's structure failure that led to the crash and explosion.

Our primary contacts for matters regarding explosion origin and cause investigations can be reached at (408) 745-7000.
